Vanessa CL Weiner
Hi, I'm Vanessa, and I work with breast cancer survivors and chronic migraine sufferers to align mindfulness and the creative process for self-care and a sense of peace that can be difficult to find during treatment and/or living with an often invisible disease.

If you’d like to know more about me:
As a young person, I doodled a lot. While making seemingly random lines and dots, time would stand still and worries would slip away. This state of flow, or being fully present, was familiar as my father taught me to meditate when I was eight and feeling the pressure of being a competitive gymnast. Over the years these practices stayed with me, especially once I became a parent. Then in 2019, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and faced a difficult and prolonged recovery. This brought these mindfulness and creativity tools front and center. It was my mindfulness-based art practice that kept me focused and grounded, and ultimately gave me the hope to keep moving forward. Whether managing the pressure of being a competitive gymnast, finding the elusive work/home life balance, maintaining hope and presence in the face of cancer and chronic pain, or reconnecting to my center, I have witnessed the transformative lessons these tools offer, and practice daily bringing them off the cushion and out of the sketchbook into my daily life.
